A particular woman entered our shelter, two cats in hand. She said she wanted us to take the cats. She had all the necessary paperwork, but we discovered that the papers were not in her name. We did some research and made contact with the cats' actual owners, who were vacationing in Hawaii and had left their cats in the care of a trusted friend. That friendship is now over, but the cats are back with their rightful owners.
